Emma's friends came to visit and they all sat together to eat, it was very cute...the new Fab Four!

Emma was able to play outside with her picnic table and with her sprinkler.

Below is a video of her singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She is a performer and loves to sing, especially when she can watch us play it back on the camera.

Emma Goes Pee Pee on the Potty!!!

Emma has been letting us know when she has to go to the bathroom, so we bought a potty a couple of weeks ago. We have been very slow with it, not trying to force it on her. She has been practicing sitting on the potty with her clothes on and then just yesterday starting sitting on the potty with no diaper. Today she told us that she had to pee pee and we took her diaper off and she went pee pee on the potty!!! We are so proud of her and couldn't believe it.

I also have posted a video below of Emma pretending to go poopy on the potty. It's pretty funny!

Happy 4th of July!
We spent 4th of July with Ken, Amber, Amy, Eric and Naomi. The girls had a blast together. I have posted some pictures and a video below.

Our Beach Vacation

We were very lucky to have a beach house rented for one whole week this year. The house was at the Outer Banks and it was ocean front. It was a great little house and we had a blast. My mom and my brother joined us. Emma absolutely loved the beach and the water this time. We were often on the beach by 8am or 8:30am due to Emma waking up by 6am everyday and asking for "water, water". We were lucky enough to see a couple of sunrises due to being awake so early. We had great weather for our trip and did not have any rain. Emma also loved this beach because dogs are allowed on the beach and Emma is obsessed with dogs. Luckily there were two very kid friendly dogs on the beach that Emma could hug and kiss.

The huge crab that was in our backyard...

Emma surfing on the boogie board...

We had to be very careful with Emma because she kept wanting to run into the ocean!

Abby made the trip with us...

We played with Bubbles daily. Emma loves to blow the bubbles herself.

Here are Dad and A.D. (Uncle Dave) in the water.
Here is the turtle that Dad built...

The view from our back deck...

We visited the NC Aquarium in Manteo. I think we made it through at a record speed of 10 minutes because Emma was running from one thing to another. She especially loved the otters and the turtles.

May 2009

May was a pretty busy month. We had Mother's Day, Emma went to the beach for the first time and we saw Sesame Street Live.

Here are pictures from Emma's first beach trip. We went to Wilmington, NC for Memorial Day to visit with Aunt Sharon and Uncle Lee and Aunt Robin, Uncle Sean and baby Camryn. My friend Christy and her girls, Lara and Caitlin met us there. For Emma's first beach trip she did not like the water very much and kept saying "Mommy, toes, mommy, toes" because of the sand being in her toes. She finally started getting better when we were ready to leave. Emma loved playing with all of her friends though and I couldn't believe when Emma and Camryn were wearing the same bathing suit. They look adorable! Emma took a nasty fall while we were in Wilmington, notice the huge bruise on her face :(

Here is Emma in Wilmington swinging with Aunt Sharon.

Here are Emma and Camryn coloring and playing with their dolls before going to see Sesame Street Live. They were so cute playing with each other's baby dolls and strollers.

I forgot my camera for Sesame Street, but below are some pictures from Robin's camera. The girls had a great time. Emma would tell me everyone's name when they came on stage and she could not get enough of Abby Cadabby (? spelling). When the show was over, Emma did not want to leave!
